Watford Harriers Athletics Club Coaching Vacancies

Interested in Coaching at Watford Harriers?

Watford Harriers’ Committee is always delighted to hear from prospective coaches and explore opportunities for them to join our fantastic, all-ability club and dedicated coaching team.

New coaches play a vital role in helping our club grow, enabling us to welcome more athletes, introduce fresh ideas and enhance the quality and variety of training sessions we offer.

If you are interested in coaching with Watford Harriers, we would love to hear from you.

Please get in touch even if there is not currently a suitable role listed below.  Contact the club at info@watfordharriers.org.uk

Current Coaching Opportunities

Middle-Distance Coach – Multi-Events Team – Ages 11 to Adult

Watford Harriers is currently looking for a Middle-Distance Coach to work as part of our Multi-Events coaching team, supporting a group of athletes aged 11 through to adult, with the opportunity to develop and grow the group over time.

Sessions currently take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Applicants will need to hold appropriate coaching qualifications and have a current DBS check.  If required, the club can help guide you through the DBS process.

You will have plenty of support.  Our Committee is always available to help, alongside our fantastic team of existing coaches, and there is also a wealth of coaching support and resources available through England Athletics.

If you are interested in the role, or would simply like an informal conversation to find out more, please contact us at info@watfordharriers.org.uk.  We would be delighted to hear from you.

Coaching Assistants

Watford Harriers is also looking for Coaching Assistants to support our coaches across a number of training groups.

You do not necessarily need to hold a coaching qualification before getting in touch.

The club can provide support and assistance with obtaining the relevant Coaching Assistant qualification and DBS check.

We are looking for individuals who can make a regular commitment to their group and ideally remain involved for a minimum of one year, providing consistency for both our athletes and coaches.

Once the Coaching Assistant qualification has been obtained, anyone wishing to progress further and work towards a coaching qualification will also be supported by the club.

If you are interested in becoming a Coaching Assistant, or would like an informal chat about what is involved, please contact info@watfordharriers.org.uk
