The Junior section caters for junior athletes in school years 6-11, taking them through the u13s, u15s & u17s age groups. Training sessions are held on weekday evenings at Woodside Stadium, Horseshoe Lane, Garston. Some sessions are also held on Saturdays and Sunday mornings from 10am-12pm. Our Juniors compete in the Eastern Young Athletes League (EYAL) and the Chiltern Cross Country League.
Junior Training Groups
· Multi Events – 6.30pm – 8.00pm Tuesday and Thursday and 10.15 - 11.30am Saturday mornings (Mona and Alastair Mann)
· Middle Distance & Cross Country; 5.45pm – 7pm and 6.30pm - 8.00pm Tuesday and Thursday at the track and on Saturdays 9am – 10.30am on the grass (Lianne Langford) Groups are dependent on ability and age.
· Sprints (older group) – Monday and Thursdays 6pm – 7.30pm and Saturday mornings 9.30 – 11am (Imogen Walker)
· Hurdles - 11.30am – 12.45 Saturday mornings (Alastair Mann)
· Sprints – 6.00pm – 7.30pm Monday and 5.30pm - 7pm Friday (Dominic Ashwell)
· Javelin – 6.30pm – 8.00pm Every other Tuesday (Trevor Ratcliffe)
· Throws – 6.30pm – 8. 30pm Fridays (Neville Thompson)
· Endurance – 6.30pm – 8pm Monday and Fridays
· Pole Vault – Saturday Mornings (Imogen Walker)
Invitation Only- This means that you have to have prior agreement with the Coach to attend.
· Advanced Sprints – 6.45pm – 8.15pm Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday morning (Pete Griffiths)
· High Jump – 7pm – 8.15pm Tuesday (Carl Reid)
· Long/Triple Jump– For 15+ - 6pm – 7pm Tuesday (Cathy Walker)
· 400m / 400m Hurdles – Dependant on season, Wednesday and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings (Cathy Walker)
· Long Jump – For EYAL competitors Monday evenings (Kio Bozorgi)
