*Minors sessions will be restarting on Sunday 20th June 2021*
Due to the recent Covid Pandemic the club is unfortunately no longer able to handle cash and offer a “pay as you go” option, therefore the payment system for Minors session is changing. We request that you pay online quarterly. The payment will cover your Watford Harriers membership of £25 and Track fees of £30 a quarter. Therefore the payments will be Q2 (July – Sep) £55, Q3 (Oct – Dec) £30 and Q4 (Jan 22 – March 22) £30. Please email email@example.com with your child’s name and you will be sent a secure
email with payment details.
Due to this change in process, the first two sessions in June (20th & 27th) will be free for all attendees, to enable time for payments to be set up, after which membership details will need to be shown each week to enable Athletes to train. Anyone without proof of membership will be declined from training.
Any new starters will continue to receive 3 trial sessions and need to check-in with a member of the Harriers committee each week, after which point they must sign up as a member and pay as detailed above.
The session starts at 10.30am every Sunday - PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARRIVE BY 10.15AM, ready for the session to start promptly at 10.30am.
The Minor Harriers is our youngest section and caters for athletes in the 7-12 age group. The aim is to give youngsters an introduction to athletics, whilst helping them to master the basic skills. We hold monthly Sportshall events for our minors and also encourage them to participate in our Minors Open Meetings, which are held three times a year. Details of this are at the bottom of the page. Our programme of activities over the year is as follows:
January to March General co-ordination and mobility. Cross-Country running and Fun Runs. Sporthall Athletics which is held in a sportshall or large gymnasium is organised at local and regional level and is specifically aimed at the 8-13 age group.
April to September Track and Field Athletics including multi event competitions specifically aimed at the Under 11 age group
October to December General co-ordination and mobility. Cross-Country running and Fun Runs.

Please be aware due to the Covid pandemic the way this event runs will be different to past meetings and we ask for your support and understanding.
The cost is £3 for Harriers members and proof of membership is required and £5 for non-members, for three events. Please can we ask you to bring the correct money.
The competition is open to Athletes in Yr 1 – Yr 9 (current school year from sep 21).
Registration will commence at 9.30am, where event forms will need to be completed and race numbers collected. At 10.30am the warm up will take place followed by the start of the competitions.
To register please entre the clubhouse via the main entrance and once you have your numbers please exit the clubhouse as quick as possible through the side doors towards the track.
Please be aware to avoid crowding, results will not be posted up on the normal board. Results (times and distance’s) will be announced and will be loaded onto the Harriers website following the competition.*
10am-1pm. Entries on the day. Under 7s, U9s, U11s & U13s. Any three events from hurdles, sprints, MD, long jump, cricket ball & shot.
Please arrive in good time to fill out event form and collect race numbers.
